Hero Honda Motorcycles Limited is an Indian manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, a joint venture that began in 1984 between the Hero group of India and Honda from Japan. It has been the world’s biggest manufacturer of 2-wheeled motorized vehicles since 2001, when it produced 1.3 million motorbikes in a single year.
